The need for
community coming together in dialogue (I really didn't think of
this but) is really important because sometimes people aren't even aware
of it [the need to intergrate artists in the process of community
developement.] People need to hear that there are people fighting there
for their needs. Once that happens we're/you're part of what I call an inclusive
community.
You can't have one without the other. I mean artists can go out and do
their work and show it to different people but its like... if... you're saying
you're doing this for the community and be a reflection (of the community)
we also want you to be present for us.
But...I just
realized how much maybe this need for town meetings is so important
and to have these issues come out so they don't you know... Some of them
are very hot but some of them are just (about) coming together and hearing
the needs of each other. And maybe artists want to hear what you want to see.
