megalomania
It would seem that the former governor of Puerto Rico has contempt for the Puerto Rican electorate in challenging the legitmacy of Acevedo Vila’s election and also the legislative processes in attempting to pressure McClintock to step down as President of the Senate. To what end? Democratic processes can only work if all parties subscribe to them. An underlying principle of democratic elections is that there must be consensus and cooperation after elections take place. That’s a rule of the game. A party can not opt to defy the electorate and governing principles of a nation because he does not like the results.

He is a major embarassment to himself ultimately. And his attempt to challenge the electorate through the courts shows his contempt for democracy and the Puerto Rican voters who rejected him.
ON SECOND THOUGHT
Ever since his ‘no somos una nacion’ epithet, I had been thinking the very worse thoughts about Pedro Rossello. However, on second thought and in all honesty, in the world of politics anything goes.
I could also spin his more recent maneuvers in the senate negatively and complain that he is not being whatever my expectations are of what his behavior should be.
All of my suppositions of proper behavior are vestigial signs of my immaturity (no irony intended). I now believe that the world of politics and its unscrupulous practitioners are, in fact, more true to life than my fantasies about ‘good behavior.’
Pedro Rossello is a Fact of Life. If not him, someone else. Sila Calderon is another Fact of Life; quite frankly, a capricious one. Whatever you can call Rossello, ‘capricious’ he is not.
Expectations of debt to community and integrity are fine — for Me. Along with me there may be others who hold these beliefs. Yet, there are hordes who do no share the same point of view. They are no more destructive than I might be misguided.
If we deserve, say, Independence…or, say, a democratic government that elevates the People, well then, where are the numbers to convert those ‘ideals’ into reality.
In other words, there is no destructive form of politics. There is only the market place of ideas and actions.
The factions with the greatest support win the day.

Rosselló is a criminal
Rosselló has violated electoral and constitutional laws. He’s a criminal, as simple as that. A more detailed description on the matter is on my blog, http://trescaminos.blogspot.com Take care all.
the case of rosello
originally, i thought rosello was trying to discredit the commonwealth — irreparably and irreversibly. with the pip out of the way, it seemed at least on the ideological and legalistic planes, simply a matter of pushing pr towards the statutory precipice by precipitating a constitutional crisis, revealing the wizard of oz in all his tawdriness. but actually rosello’s intentions are much simpler, he is completely, ungraciously seeking to retain power by any means in complete contempt of the puerto rican electorate and frankly in utter contempt of the puerto rican people who voted him out for being truly a pijo. he would rather wreck the pnp, flout all rules of decency and fair play, disrespect whomever holds a seat democratically in order to gain some toehold of power. the puerto rican legislature, of which he is lamentably a part now, should censure him and remove him from office. one cannot use the instruments of democratic government to undermine it. we saw that in the thirties in germany. we don’t need that repeated here. the question to ask is why, at this moment, has a rosello emerged? what lesson is there to learn? how is he part of the general crisis the island is now confronting on multiple fronts. in other words, besides having contributed to the current state of affairs through poor governance, how is rosello symptomatic of the general malaise of the island, the u.s. and the world.
ex poltical junkie
I have come to the concusion that Puerto Ricans in the island are behaving in the a self destructive manner. Following such a disgraceful figure as Pedro Rosello is a sure way to commit political suicide. There has been no more corrupt government than the eight years of corruption commited by these corrupted political junkie. 30 persons in jail convicted appear to be enouhg for ANY reasonable person to conlcude without any doubt that the leader of all these corruption ends in Mr. Rosello figure. Mr. Rosello even cheated on his retirement benefits, which is a felony and should have send him to serve time because this was intentional. It is very sad for me to see so many people supporting Mr. Rosello. They are blindly led by their own personal interest. The cubans at the WAPA radio sation want to get back to the fat payrolled days. The poor undeducated puerto ricans fools produced by our deficient public school system are easly swayed to believe a corrupted candidate under promises of free things which are realy never free. It is beyond my belief that so many people validated Rosello and gave him one vote. The parrots hired by the PNP are all over the media attemptng to discredit any real effort to try and fix the budgetary mess created by all the administrations in the last 30 years. Instead people make simplistic unsubstantiated poltical arguments against each other that have no value.
From my point of view Puerto Rico where I was born in 1960 has been destroyed in the last 20 years more than in any other time before. After the Cerro Maravilla criminal act, all hell has broke loose and Puerto Ricans have descended to the lowest moral and ethical values than EVER before. When I visit my island I see that drug trafficking have tainted all way of life in Puerto Rico. Politicians, Police officers, Judges and every other institution have becomed conspirators in the “silent killer” called narcotraffic way of life. People no longer can distinguish what is right from wrong. Many people think stealing a little or a lot is not necessary wrong. Parents killing sons, sons killng parents, and every other aberration ocurring in the family keep destroying the society. Unfortunately I do not see any way out of this cycle immediate future, if ever. There is the lost raggaeton generation and the one before that was not that good either. How can any rational intelligent person support a corrupt ex Governor poltical junkie? Blind fanaticalmaniac disease….

Rosello is a liability
Most Boricuas on the Mother land need to disassociate themselves from the need of indulging in SM political foreplay. Rosello never was nor is he “the solution” not that there ever will be one to the dilemmas presented by a weak government infrastructure whose political autonomy is merely a facade. Todavia somos marionetas de tio sam. Rosello has divided an already weakened party and proves to be an ever-growing liability to the political credibility of his own people. His anthem has never been La Borinquena but rather “Country Road take me home/to the place where I belong/ West Virginia/ Mountain mama/ take me home my country road” A true boricua would never hurt nor harm his/her own country.
People, he is just doing what he came here to do.
Pedro Rosello is head of a mafia that is trying to put Puerto Rico in a state of chaos so that “the US can come to save us”. From the beginning of his term in 1993 he has been trying to cut off all of Puerto RIco’s economic resources by privatizing all public utilities and creating a defecit that will be impossible to fix. This, according to him, will pressure the US to give us help and/or give us statehood. Dr. Rosello does not care about the PuertoRican people, he only cares about his ideologies. He also is an extremely corrupt individual with a “God Complex” and a large following and supporters that are equally or even more corrupt.
Dr. Pedro Rosello should be investigated by both the FBI and CIA. He is an extremely dangerous person.

P.S. DEVUELVAN EL DINERO DE REINTEGROS AL PUEBLO ESO NO ES DE USTEDES …ES DE NOSOSTROS
Power hungry? Yes. Corrupt? Yes. But why?
That’s the real question we have to ask ourselves about Rosello. He is most definitely one of the brightest Puerto Ricans of modern times. But what are truly his ideals? What did he gain with striking corrupt deals during his governorship? What is he trying to gain by breaking down the democratic process not once but twice? Power? Duh, that’s an obvious answer; here is a tougher one, what does he wants with that power?
Rosello was a Doctor; during his life his motivation was to help people. At some point in his life he realized that people needed something more than doctors, people need leaders to do what’s right, and thus Rosello became the most prominent Puerto Rican since the 90. Rosello’s intentions were, and possibly are good. He wants for Puerto Rico what he thinks is the best for Puerto Rico, and there is his problem. What he thinks is best for Puerto Rico might be wrong.
I think that inside of himself Rosello stopped being a Doctor. Caught up with all the corruption and power scheme that is the elected government, he forgot what his goal was. He honestly thinks he has the solution but he doesn’t. How do I know he doesn’t? Because he is not clamored by the people anymore, he is clamored by a small number of drones that in no way represent the real Puerto Rican people.
If Rosello would just sit down and think for a second, what do the people really want? He forgot about what the people wanted and just do like the rest of the failed mediocre politicians in power, follow the advise of his “experts”, and work for what the people supposedly need, after all the people is stupid and they don’t know what’s good for them. If he would just stop listening to statistics and studies and started listening to the people, he would realize the error of his ways. Sit down with them and hear their needs, not only the needs of the penepes, but sit down and indiscriminately hear what the people want to say, he would now what to do. He needs to clean the government; he needs to restore the balance of power back to the people. The people are scared of the government and the government is too immerse in itself to listen to the people.
Here it is where Rosello can really shine; he can become the real messiah of the Puerto Rican people. He has been to the depths of political hell; he knows all the dark deals that surround the government and can expose them at the price of his own freedom. He could sacrifice himself, by turning his back on corruption. He could restore the power to the Puerto Rican people by exposing all the corruption schemes that he is involved in and knows about, exposing all the dark dealings and either go to jail, or die by the hands of the corrupt and power hungry. He might be labeled a corrupt politician for the rest of his life, but he also would be the true messiah.
I truly wish that Rosello engaged in destructive politics.

Mr Rosello is the antithesis of Democracy. Sometimes I think the thinks he’s a Hollywood actor. He should be shipped to Cuba where everyone does what one man says. His precence here is actually doing harm to the ideas of the PNP. And the people of PR will probably not support this party in future elections until they clean up their act and the leaders of the party. Rosello’s pals should also be shipped to Cuba. There is still hope of getting things done, IF they do the house cleaning on time.
Pedro Rossello is a menace to those who have a great interest in maintaining the “status quo”. It should be presented by statehood educators if as a state “el pueblo” may pay less as compare to other states overall tax burden (ex. state tax Florida, NY, Ca, Il, etc as compare to PR current tax structure, just look at the tables in US for states and federal and compare these to PR state taxes) and if those who own a major stake in the economy at PR will pay more under at State structure. These who own a major stake in PR may be against the change to statehood, because under the current “status quo” they pay less, and Juan del Pueblo will continue to maintain the 1/3 of the working force engage in the “government affairs.” This is an addictive situation, in which the government force is subsidized by the numb majority (2/3), which continues to be bombarment by the media with “against statehood” statements in “subtle way”.
Pedro Rossello is not afraid of negotiating with the US our right of affairs This was shown by the “Do not pushed statement” made by Rosello. The puertorrican people have not reach that state of mind yet. Personallyh he is not engage in any corruption for his personal proffit. Statehood may have been a target, and others may have use such state of affairs to profit thenselves. But, Pedro Rossello was well been without any need of additional profit. He is focussed in obtaining the statehood for PR. We should strive for making our point with the US. We are no different than a citizeen from US. We should have representation in the Congress.
Most of the puertorricans do not “speak” or communicate in the English language in confortable way to enable them to request our rights. That is the reason that we are still behind statehood. Maybe free Direct TV should be part of the statehood party plataform.

I am still surprised that these blind fools are still for this governor that has been so corrupt and
So funny, how they call “blind”, to those who follow, Pedro Rosello’. Look at Puerto Rico now. With Anibal Acevedo, Puerto Rico, is starting to look like, a third world country.

Juan del Pueblo
LLEGUE A PR EN 1985. VIVI Y PRESENCIE VARIOS CAMBIOS DE GOBIERNO. CONCLUSION:
1. – EL PPD SE LA PASA SACANDO A LA LUZ PUBLICA LAS FALLAS QUE
HAYA TENIDO EL PNP Y SE LE PASAN LOS CUATRENIOS SIN HACER
OBRA PRODUCTIVA PARA EL PAIS.
2. – EL PNP NO PIERDE EL TIEMPO BUSCANDO FALLAS SINO
SOLUCIONANDOLAS.
Pendejo.
Rosello Peter is a Jack ASS like all Puerto Rican that place him in the Senate. Jose Aponte, & Anibal Acevedo will bring Puerto Rico to be the firsth nation under HELL to all PR Jack ASS Burros y Caballos
The world will never accept extraordinary people.
God Bless this extraordinary man.

and no matter what dirt you can try to make up fuled by hatred
and throw at him, he will still always have my vote,
for I know who he is and what he has done.

I am still surprised that these blind fools are still for this governor that has been so corrupt and
So funny, how they call “blind”, to those who follow, Pedro Rosello’. Look at Puerto Rico now. With Anibal Acevedo, Puerto Rico, is starting to look like, a third world country.
