THE MILITARY AND POLICE IN THE CARIBBEAN
Counter-insurgency Military Aid. So then when I talk about the military in reality I am talking about the security forces. You can not separate the military and the police in the Caribbean because the military has no external dimension. It is used for internal purposes. When a ruler is bright -- quotation marks -- he has several security forces. In the Dominican Republic you will find about seven and they usually play one against the other.
